Our story:
We come from many different places and we all have untold stories. TeenLite comes from a Place of real issues, pain, doubt, silence, fear, shame, hope, love, laughter, family, strength, courage and much more. The best thing about TeenLite is we don't have to face these emotions alone. We are a team. I am my sister's Keeper.
TeenLite Is Founded by Marie Abega- Harper. A God fearing Woman, wife, student, mother of two, full time employee, Executive Director and President of TeenLite. Originally Founded in May 2012.
Life can be the best thing when experiencing high level of energy and everything seems to fall right into place as our heart desires but life can also take an ugly turn leaving us confused, unfocused, depressed, angry, restless and even uncertain for the future. It is imperative to create a support system so strong and empowering for life's ugly days. It is also incumbent upon us to serve one another and help make our communities a better place. And thus the phrase "I am my sister's Keeper"
We created Teenlite Inc. as that support system for our youth and young ladies. our goal is to mentor, serving one another, counsel to help with emotional issues, create a bonding relationship with the juvenile system to assist the teens there, create community fundraisers like carwashes, galas, and build meaningful partnerships.
Purpose: Our ultimate purpose is to serve youth through resources, bonding, volunteer services, outreach, mentoring; to spread love, service organization, empowerment and networking.
